On September 5, 2025, the extraordinary maintenance work on the facades of the office building for the company Arti Grafiche Torri in Cologno Monzese (MI) was completed. The building has 5 floors of offices for major companies.

The original facades date back to the late 1980s and were built with a mullion and transom system with external rubber pressure plates by Buiatti, a company no longer on the market.

The original operable windows had severe infiltration problems and poor thermal performance. The curved corners of the original design, made of monolithic glass with films applied to the inner surface, were heavily deteriorated.

On behalf of the client, Studio Cattivelli, after preliminary investigations, arranged for improvement works on the external envelope. These consisted of replacing the entire external rubber pressure plate grid with a new water-sealing system, inserting a polyamide thermal break, and adding a painted aluminum exterior finish. Furthermore, the operable windows were replaced with high-thermal-performance, concealed-sash profiles and a new blackout blind system. This also included replacing the monolithic glass at the building's corners with insulated, painted aluminum shell panels.

The final inspection was carried out through on-site water tightness tests according to the UNI EN 13051 standard and general checks on the work performed.
